Four talented Mexican university students have been chosen to receive the 2021 Legacy Scholarships from Santander México, which combine support for 1 million pesos, and which this year include an artist with a disability for the first time. These scholarships are possible thanks to Santander Mexico Private Banking clients, who by contracting the Santander Legacy Credit Card, promote national talent in visual, performing arts, cinema, literature or architecture. This year, four grants were awarded with a total value of one million pesos, which will allow the winners to continue their professional education and prepare in highly prestigious international institutions.
In this 2021 edition, the four winners were selected from among 252 applications nationwide and specialize in bassoon, piano, trombone and visual arts, among them, and for the first time, an artist with a disability. “Santander has established itself as the institution that most supports higher education in the country, but now we are also making a difference in supporting artistic education with the Legacy Scholarships, which due to their unique characteristics are establishing America Cell Phone Number List themselves as one of the most prestigious supports in the country. To date, in the three editions of this call, 29 grants have been awarded to artists totaling 5.7 million pesos, and this year, among the four winners who are promising in their respective fields, we include a scholarship for a university student with disabilities, promoting inclusion and recognizing their talent,” said Arturo Cherbowski Lask, Executive Director of Santander Universities and General Director of Universia México.
With the Legacy Scholarships we see our commitment and that of our Legacy Card clients reflected in promoting young university students in culture and the arts; Santander México Private Banking clients appreciate that through a banking product they can support young people who, with this scholarship, will be able to consolidate their path in the international artistic field, or take their first steps to achieve their dreams," he commented. Guillermo Barreyra, Executive Director of Wealth Management & Insurance of Santander México. This year's winners are: Yolotzin Cruz Cedillo: Bassoonist. Student of the Master's Degree in Music at the University of Vienna, who at an early age began his search for learning the Bassoon outside his native Oaxaca, since in that region there were no professionals who taught classes in this discipline. His dream is to consolidate an international career.
